Winter is coming!
Stay soft, supple, healthy, content, and connected this winter in Rootstock’s beautiful elemental healing sanctuary.
From October to May, Rootstock will fire up the bathhouse a few times a month while a rotating cast of yoga teachers will fire up the Belly (our new 30’ yurt) for pre-bathhouse yoga! Come for some yoga, stay for the bathhouse and enjoy a lush and cozy rhythm of winter wellness here on the imagination farm.
A limited number of CSB (Community-Supported Bathhouse) Memberships will be available to ensure folks discounted access to the bathhouse this year (last winter every single date we opened filled!). CSB members will also get first dibs on yoga booking, though those classes will be reserved and paid for separately. There’s no requirement to book both yoga and the baths, meaning you’re welcome to simply come for yoga or a bathhouse, but we’re excited to be able to offer our community a rustic spa day for those who want it.
Movement and meditation followed by rustic hydrotherapy, sauna, and elemental healing is a powerful way to navigate being in a body on Planet Earth in the 21st Century. We hope you’ll join us in community to delve into the potent medicine of Winter together.
Two Ways In…
Community Supported Bathhouse Members receive priority booking and a discounted price of $50/session - a savings of $15 per session!
Capacity for yoga classes will be capped at 12, while capacity for the bathhouse will be limited to 15 people per session to ensure that the space remains restful, quiet, and relaxing for our guests.
Why Buy A CSB Share?
You’ve probably heard of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares, and the concept here is the same. We’re asking you to join a dedicated group of bathhouse believers in stepping up and investing in our vision for a sustainable and steady winter bathhouse offering for the Rootstock community.
In exchange for your up-front support as a Community Supported Winter Bathhouse member, you’ll get discounted bathhouse access and priority booking for our winter season, running from October 2024 through May 2025. Winter bathhouses always fill and CSB members will be guaranteed a winter of rustic hydrotherapy at a deep discount.
If you’ve ever stepped foot in The Oasis - Rootstock’s wood-fired bathhouse and elemental healing sanctuary - you know just how magical it is. This clothing-optional, co-ed, sober space offers a unique communal rustic hydrotherapy experience that brings warmth and joy to the darkest and coldest of Vermont winter days. Take an hour or three to immerse yourself, and you’ll emerge from the pristine, chemical free, wood-fired mountain water feeling refreshed, transformed, and more fully grounded in your physical body.
But all that magic doesn’t just happen on its own - especially not in the depths of a Vermont winter. Pulling off a regular winter bathhouse requires infrastructure, equipment, and labor (all that snow doesn’t just shovel itself!). Your commitment as a Community Supported Winter Bathhouse member is what will allow us to make those investments and bring this beautiful, deeply needed offering to life.
Cancellation & Refunds
In a Community Supported Agriculture model, producers and consumers agree to share the risks and rewards of an unpredictable farming season, and we have a similar expectation for our Community Supported Winter Bathhouse. Our goal is to offer all the advertised dates this season (and probably a handful of bonus sessions that we’ll throw on the calendar if the stars align), and we’re experienced at operating under a wide range of weather conditions, but the simple truth is that winters here in the Northeast Kingdom are unpredictable.
There may be weeks when the snow just won’t stop falling, when the roads that lead here are trickier to navigate, when Rootstock’s paths are extra narrow and slippy, when a piece of infrastructure is temporarily offline, when things shift and evolve and we are called to adapt. We live the reality of that seasonal uncertainty day in and day out, trusting that this hill will ultimately meet all our needs with beauty and grace, and we ask that, as a Community Supported Winter Bathhouse member, you take the same leap of faith with us.
As a Community Supported Winter Bathhouse member, you are investing wholeheartedly in this shared vision and as such there will be no refunds.

The Bath Masters
Rootstock is grateful to have three kind and generous Bath Masters on staff to keep the Oasis fires burning for the full winter share. The work of the Bath Master is elemental on one hand and deeply human on the other. They keep the water clean, the fires burning, and the paths clear while also greeting & orienting the guests, holding the space, and ensuring a safe, nourishing atmosphere in The Oasis. The Bath Masters are here to support you to have a good experience and you can call on them if the water is too hot, not hot enough, or if you need a hand. Tips for Bathmasters that make your experience special are most welcome…these guys work hard!
