Learn to intuitively and effectively microdose psilocybin to leverage the ‘medicine of the moment’ and reclaim your presence, your wholeness, and your relationship to life.

Life on Earth in the 21st century is challenging and getting harder by the day. There is immense pressure building with the state of the environment, world politics, and the growing disfunction of our culture. Modern medicine has limits to how it can help. Talk therapy does as well. In the deep, soft center of more and more people there is an unquenchable thirst for something different and something better to help soothe the soul and reinstate a sense of wellbeing, health, and joy. Finding our way out of the maze of our soul sick modern culture and back into relationship with our bodies, nature, community, spirit, and possibility can feel impossible but it isn’t.

Psychedelic healing is alive in our collective consciousness right now. There’s a lot of hype and hope about how these molecules and medicines can help save us. More and more offerings and coaches are arriving onto the scene daily to tell you how to do it and to try and point the way and, though it’s ultimately positive that this medicine is finding traction in mainstream culture, there are limits and pitfalls to trying to fit this miraculous medicine into the obsolete framework of the western medical model. Many protocols and programs are missing some of the most essential and potent aspects of how to work with this medicine effectively for the long haul and these seasonal immersions are here to bridge that gap and teach you how to work with this medicine.

Beana Bern has been in relationship with mushrooms for over three decades and has been a dedicated servant to them professionally for seven years in her therapeutic practice at Rootstock. Her work with this medicine is unparalleled, (w)holistic, impactful, and designed to empower you to create an authentic relationship with psilocybin yourself and create your own intuitive practice. This is a simple, honest, effective, and beautiful path to learn, heal, and grow with this medicine.

Whatever is happening in the world around us, whether that be rain, snow, war, famine, cold, heat, chaos, or calm it’s alive in our bodies and psyches as well. As without, so within. The seasons guide what’s possible at any given time and, when we come into deep relationship with the elemental truth of this turning, we come into relationship with ourselves and re-learn how to be in the world.

Mushroom medicine doesn’t speak human. It doesn’t speak logic or rationality or English. It communicates through a language of nature, of spirit, of somatics, of alchemy, and of magic. Marrying your microdosing practice with the medicine of the moment is a useful and effective framework to ‘bring the medicine home’ and genuinely heal yourself, your community, and the world.

Sowing seeds when the Earth is frozen and fallow goes against all the forces in nature. Trying to harvest fruit before the berries are ripe is also unsatisfying. Learning how to turn with the seasons outside of us empowers us to learn how to turn with the seasons inside of us. The seasons of our days, of our years, and of our lives.

Each immersion folds the same practice into a three month container immersing into Winter through the Medicine of the North, rising into Spring through the Medicine of the East, growing in Summer through the Medicine of the South, and falling into Autumn through the Medicine of the West.

  • Medicine of the North dives deep into the energetics of winter, darkness, shadows, midnight, contraction, and cold. Introspection, hibernation, rest, and reflection are central to this lap.

  • Medicine of the East rises with the Sun and explores springtime, birth, emergence, innocence, play and beginnings. Tapping energetic and creative reserves, sowing seeds, physical embodiment, and visioning are central to this lap.

  • Medicine of the South leverages the apex that is summertime, heat, passion, peace, and power to manifest visions and consciously create. Manifestation, cultivation, discernment, and resilience are central to this hot lap.

  • Medicine of the West helps to harvest the lessons of the year and release that which no longer serves. Gathering and preserving learnings, releasing, composting, and making space for the hibernation that begins again in the North.

We are all in a constant state of movement on the continuum between life and death, light and dark, and composition and decomposition and, no matter what season finds you stepping onto the medicine path, all roads will lead you home, to the home in your heart.

The term ‘Earth Medicine’ may mean different things to different people, but in the context of this practice, Earth Medicine refers to psilocybin mushrooms, the five elements of water, fire, earth, air and ether, and the complex and sticky web of nature, both seen and unseen.

Earth Medicine could be the spirit of Mother Earth, the food you grow in your garden, the tea you drink in the morning, the flood that sweeps away your home, or the fire that burns bright in your belly begging you to create. It could be a bird song, a dense fog, a sunrise, a forest fire, or the sounds of water falling on the dishes in the sink. Many things comprise life on Earth so Earth Medicine is vast and plentiful and available to all of us.

The Mushroom Teachers have a way of cleaning the eyes in our hearts, slowing us down to the speed of nature, and sensitizing us to the present moment so that we can experience our lives, inhabit our relationships, and connect to our land and communities in good ways. Folks inside this practice consistently share that they experience:

  • Increased presence

  • Slower reactivity in challenging or triggering situations

  • More ease and willingness to surrender to the flow

  • Heightened senses and sensations in their bodies

  • Creative problem solving, new takes on old problems

  • Profound gratitude for the community & shared experience

  • Curiosity about themselves and their habits

  • Resonance, challenge, and curiosity with the various practices

  • Awareness that the practice is helping

Hope can be a fragile or scary thing to open yourself up to, especially if you’ve been struggling for a long time. It can feel hard to try and trust in a new experience, seek out support, or step vulnerably into new territory. Add the cultural taboo to working with psychedelics before they’re ‘approved’ by some of the very systems that are failing us and it can be hard to know what to do. This slow and steady practice eases you onto the path and week by week, lesson by lesson, and call by call, sweetly holds you there so you can see for yourself what’s helpful and possible.
