Create a sacred knotted mala bead necklace in this half day workshop to support practicing mantra and living intentionally.

Mala bead necklaces are necklaces that can be used as a tool to count mantras during meditation. There are always 108 beads on a mala, and 1 guru bead which is the bead right above the tassel that is not part of the 108. When you recite mantras, you touch 1 bead per mantra. When you get to the end of the necklace, you know you have said the mantra 108 times.

A mantra is a short phrase or even just a word that you repeat over and over. When you repeat a mantra, it blocks the mind from jumping all over the place and interrupts your train of thought with the thing that you are trying to bring into existence. Using “I am” statements when saying mantras is very powerful because the subconscious mind can not decipher between what is true and what we tell it to be true. This is how the law of attraction works. We can create the reality we desire by using mantras.

The power of the mineral kingdom will also imbue our malas with power and support. Energy can not be created or destroyed. The energy that was present in the gemstone’s creation process is the energy that is transferred to us when we wear gemstones on our bodies. The time, temperature and pressure all effect what gemstones is made from a single mineral or a combination of them.

In this half day workshop we will:

  • Use the Crystal Oracle to divine what gemstones are our best allies

  • Explore the concept of mantra and reveal our intentions for our mala

  • Learn how to make a knotted mala necklace with tassle

  • Enjoy creative time in community in a scared place around a fire

Limited to 10 people.

Guests will be invited to bring their own lunch or snacks. Water, tea and all needed supplies for mala making are included in the cost of the workshop.
