Internship opportunity

As Rootstock matures into the rustic retreat center and creative sanctuary that it was always destined to become, and my private healing practice does the same, I am becoming increasingly aware of a desire to both pass on some of my experience in the realm of birthing and holding a new paradigm business as well as help others develop their own capacity for authentic, creative, generative service.

My Conscious Creation Apprenticeship provides a container where I provide energy, grounding, strategy, support and joy to folks building their own soul-led endeavor and this opportunity will invite support into my integrated practice, business and imagination farm.

If there is someone out there who would like to work with me on an internship basis – in effect, mentoring and access to the programming and infrastructure of Rootstock in return for your time working with me on a variety of tasks and projects – then I'd like to hear from you. Depending on the response, it might be possible to open this up to a couple of people, rather than just one.

The specifics

Obviously, you need to have a passion for the healing power of Earth Medicine, conscious community, and homesteading, and to have a vision – no matter how undeveloped – for your own work in this area. You should be familiar with my work and, ideally, a member (or aspiring member) of the Rootstock community, meaning that you join gatherings and ceremonies here from time to time or want to. I'm looking for someone who already has some relevant skills to offer, and who fits into one of these categories:

  • You already have a fledgling practice/offering which is relevant to my work with plant medicine, life as ceremony, creative self-expression, or homesteading and you're looking to develop and deepen it. Or you have a focused plan for such a thing, but don't know quite how to get started.

  • You are new(ish) to serving as a space holder, medicine guide, or homesteader and are looking to deepen and expand your work, or to figure out how best to bring it into the world.

  • If you think you are the right person but don't fit into one of the above two categories, then I'm open to offers!

I'm looking for help to develop and communicate my retreat offerings, optimize my backend operations both online and with systems on the hill, and beautify and fortify this homestead.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to commit to this relationship for a year, subject to a trial period during which we try each other out. It would be really nice to have someone close to me in Northern Vermont, but I'm open to enquiries from elsewhere. Depending on your skillset, proximity, and interest level, work may consist of weekly projects or ad hoc support for specific offerings or projects.

What I'll offer you is traditional mentoring – advice/ help/ a sounding board to develop your work and practice. If you bring an idea for an offering, or contribute in a significant way to a course or related project, I'm willing of course (though at heart this is a non-monetary relationship) to profit-share, and to give you full credit for your input and help you promote your work in this context. Depending on what you bring, there will be other opportunities to showcase your work and ideas.

How to Inquire

If you'd like to enquire about this opportunity, please send an email to rootstockretreat@gmail.com Please include the following information:

  • Some information about you. Your age, where you live, current work, any relevant qualifications or experience, where you are in your 'journey', what you love to do.

  • A few words about what your vision for your future work in the world.

  • What you bring; ways in which you think you could help me.

  • Why you'd like to work with me, and how you'd like me to help you.

  • Any existing online connections – social media, websites, blogs etc.

Please understand that, although I will acknowledge all enquiries, if there are a lot of them, I won't be able to engage in detail with all of you, and I hope you'll understand that. It's always really hard to keep up with emails at the best of times, and still do my own work in the world. For the same reasons, I can't offer individual advice if this isn't quite what you're looking for but you think I can help you in other ways.

Thanks so much for your interest! I’m curious and optimistic to see who surprises me.
