Seasonal support roles to help our little world turn!
Beyond building a transformational gathering space and wood-fired bathhouse, Rootstock is also building a culture, a conscious community, a lineage of ceremony, and the new Earth. Coming together every month to steward and commune with the land, spirit, and one another is potent and necessary medicine and we are calling in co-stewards, co-creators, and fellow temple tenders to fortify, sustain, and share in the holding of our community weekends and other gatherings here at Rootstock.
We all know that ‘teamwork makes the dream work’ and that the work of re-villaging is some of the most important stuff we can do right now as a species. Re-learning how to cook, eat, pray, play, tend, heal, share resources, and grow as a community is the task at hand and we’re excited to extend the invitation to more of you to come help make the magic happen.
In a nutshell, the more community members that understand how the systems and infrastructure at Rootstock work, the better! Where the blankets go, how the compost works, how to open and close the Tipi, or how to make hot water or a sauna in the bathhouse. From making kindling to turning off the lights at night, there are many things that these temples require of us and it’s time to empower more of our Rootstock Regulars to help know the ropes. The more we work together, the better dialed our systems will become, and the easier it will be to utilize and animate all of the amazing resources we have been building for our collective joy, health and well-being. Here’s the scoop!

SEASONAL POSITION
Saturday pm - Sunday pm
Hearth will ensure that all folks nesting know where to land and how to care for their nests. They’ll organize all food and drinks on Saturday before circle and on Sunday morning. Kitchen cleaning and basic housekeeping will anchor their loving support of all of us.
SEASONAL POSITION
Saturday pm only
Temple & Fire will apprentice Beana and support Moon Circle by preparing any and all temple spaces, seating, the altar and any offerings as well as setting fires. They’ll learn about fire wood, kindling, tending temples, and will take care to set-up and break down the circle.
YEARLY POSITION
Friday pm - Sunday pm
This versatile role is here to help support the rotating members of Co-Crew and Rootstock’s Residents with consistency and care. From supporting the Sun Bath & Sauna on Friday night through to when folks depart on Sunday, this versatile positions helps the help help!
1 Bunk per person & guaranteed access to Moon Circle included in exchange for a 4 month commitment for the Temple & Hearth tenders.
The Right Hand is a yearly position.
OCT|NOV|DEC|JAN 2024/2025
We’re looking to implement this new way of co-creating Community Weekend in time for the Fall 2024/2025 season. The whole point of this offering is to help the existing stewards support what’s already happening so ensuring that you are available for the full commitment is essential for this to work. Please, only apply for a position that you know you want to commit to and plan to show all the way up for.
Co-creation will require communication, flexibility, attention to detail, willingness to share and receive feedback, a sense of humor, a bit of hustle, and a grounded desire to hold space for our collective healing.
Roles and Responsibilities will be detailed, printed, and shared for each position. Checklists will emerge from our first season that will support subsequent Co-Crew in the Fall.
Training and/or orientation will be provided as necessary for various tasks with clear instructions on any systems, tools, or infrastructure that Co-Crew will be stewarding.
Feedback will be provided to Co-Crew with the goal of supporting unified, elegant, and successful collaboration.
Folks not able to do the work may be released from their position prior to the season ending.
